FAQs

Do I need a Sideloader or an OtherSideloader?

You need to know two things; Which frame tube and which hand?

Use your right hand to remove the bottle from the down tube = OtherSideloader

Use your left hand to remove the bottle from the down tube = Sideloader

Use your right hand to remove the bottle from the seat tube= Sideloader

Use your left hand to remove the bottle from the seat tube= OtherSideloader

Which Arundel cage provides the most grip?

The Looney Bin because you can wind it tight.  Almost as secure, The Bando with the thick band.  And of course, Mandibles are still the Gold Standard.

Why did my Arundel carbon cages come with Stainless Button Head fasteners?

Button Heads have three benefits over Allen cap screws: a wider head for more contact surface area between the bolt and cage which in turn helps distribute the load more evenly across the carbon fiber, lower in profile to better clear the bottles upon entry, and stainless steel won’t rust.

Aero Bottles; down tube or seat tube. Which is faster?

Impossible to say because there are too many variables.  In general, fill in the BB area with a Chrono II and it’s usually faster than a round bottle.  It’s much more fun to accessorize than to actually train, right?

Why is your packaging so plain?

It gets thrown away, often ending up in the landfill.  We would rather plow the value into the actual product.

Are the Arundel cages used in the Olympics and Tour de France different from those I bought?

No, you get what the pros get.  Same design and layup with our renowned bottle holding grip.  The only difference is that we’ve made up cages with larger “Pro Team” decals to show up better in photos.
